OFF TO THE MOON ...

Back again with two more cards to share - as I said I've had a productive afternoon!

First up is a combined challenge entry for Freshly Made Sketches and the Color Throwdown challenges:

Card Recipe:
Image & Sentiments: Clearly Besotted - Blast Off & Paired Up
Papers: Pink Petticoat
Tools: Cuttlebug Mosaic Embossing Folder
From my stash: Doodlebug Sprinkles

Next up is my entry to this week's CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge and it's embellished with lots of pearls from my stash so I'm going to head back to Simon Says Stamp too for another crack at that challenge.

More Clearly Besotted products used; this time from the Butterfly Wishes Additions stamp and die sets plus the sentiment is from the Geometric Shapes set. I've also added a faint background border of little pink dots using Uniko Studio Background Builders Circle set. The Scalloped edge is from a brand new stand alone die set from Clearly Besotted which comes with 3 scalloped dies and they are simply perfect (well I think so)!

Ok that's all from me for today - off to do my ironing chores :-(

BIRDS AND PEARLS

Evening all

I've had a fairly productive couple of hours this afternoon. Usually I can spend hours and end up with 1 or 2 cards but I've managed 4 today so whoopie! Wish every day was like that!

So first up is one card for two challenges; the Fusion Challenge and Simon Says Stamp where the theme this week is 'Anything Goes with Pearls'

I love the little sweep at the bottom of the sketch so had to use that and what a great place to add an extra little sentiment.

Card Recipe:
Images & Sentiments: All Clearly Besotted - Paired Up and With a Flourish stamp sets
Papers: Unknown brand but a lovely gift from my Crafty American Auntie
From my stash: pearls and twine

FINGERS CROSSED IT'S IN THE NICK OF TIME!

I'm really taking this challenge card up to the wire for the Paper Players Challenge but I've been playing around and struggling with it for a while this afternoon.

Anyway it's also to enter the ColourQ Challenge too and what a striking combo we have this week - Yummy!

Card Recipe:

Image & Sentiment: both Uniko Studio using the Decorative Doilies & It's a Gift stamp sets
Papers: Echo Park - Dots & Stripes
From my Stash: Button, twine and enamel dots from My Mind's Eye

Ok just a short and sweet post today.

Enjoy your evening and thanks for stopping by.

PINK AND PASTELS

Ok so day one at work - DONE! Even had a little energy to craft afterwards so a couple of shares for you.

First up is to enter a new challenge 'Butterfly Challenge' run by the lovely Mrs A who is a regular and talented contestant over at Pixies Crafty Snippet playground. In fact it was when I posted my entry at the Playground yesterday that I noticed a new competition on the 'Blog' and having included snippety bits I'm going to enter the card here too.

So the very first Butterfly Challenge - and (surprisingly) a 'butterfly and flowers' requirement! I've a couple of commissions for Mother's Day cards at the moment so what better theme for a girlie occasion and if you want to play along you'll have to be quick as the competition closes tomorrow!

Card Recipe:

Image: Butterfly: vellum die-cuts using Clearly Besotted butterfly dies
Image: Flowers: stamped and die-cut using Clearly Besotted Fancy Florals
Sentiment: Clearly Besotted - Happy Days
Papers: Snippets of designer card as the background which was a gift from my Crafty American Auntie
Tools: MFT Die-namics chevron dies
From my Stash: twine, gems and pearls

My next card is for the CAS(E) This Sketch and CAS Colours & Sketches Challenges and this time I couldn't I've used a newly released set from Uniko Studio (A Gift For You). The present, bows, sentiment and sequins are all from this set. The sentiment and sequins are heat embossed onto vellum and I've used a retro circles embossing folder for the bottom half of the card plus a couple of gems and enamel dots from my stash to jazz it up a bit.

And that's all for me today so I'm just going to have a little surf around your blogs and add some comments as I've not been too good at that recently.

'SPRING' IN THE STEP

I was about to say 'morning' but heck it's after 12! What's happened to the morning???

Anyway I'm here with a share for the CASology and ColourQ challenges and I'm not entirely happy with it but see what you think and if you'd like to pass a comment (good or bad) it's much appreciated.

So the theme at CASology this week is 'Jump' and having searched my entire stash including digi images I was at a loss until I found this cute pre-coloured jumping bunny image from LOTV. It's a bit off Easter spring-time wishes but I think he's 'jumping'. Although craft isn't in the palate at ColourQ I'm also hoping my it can pass as a 'neutral' colour on the card - hence I'm unsure on this one.

Here goes:

Card Recipe:

Image: LOTV
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat
From my Stash: Twine, papers, enamel dots

Ok so the weather is hideous here today so I'm off to do more crafting and hopefully get ahead of myself as it's back to work tomorrow! :-(

YIKES IT'S 60 YEARS!

It's me again and I've just realised I can enter a card I made this week to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge where the theme is Wedding or Anniversary. I'm also going to drop this in at Less is More where the theme is 'Metal' and I've been struggling with what to do all day BUT I have used Metallic cord on this card so everything crossed here that it's ok and I'm not being too cheeky!!!

My Mum asked me to make a card for a couple celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary next month - wow that's 60 years!

Card Recipe:

Sentiment: Clearly Besotted - Baby Love - I've embossed this and computer generated the rest of the sentiment onto vellum then realised I could actually emboss the printed text too whilst the printer ink was still wet.
Image: From Clearly Besotted (Love Birds & all Paired Up) - the birds have been embossed too.
Sizzix swirls embossing
From my stash: Silver metallic cord, Lace tape, glitter card, gems.

Ok I'm off for tea now and to catch up with the Voice so see you tomorrow.

FLORALS AND FLOURISHES

Well I started the half term week really well with lots of crafting and posting, sadly the end of the week hasn't been as successful in the craft department. We have, however, had some stunning new wardrobes fitted in my daughters room which I've been oohing and ahhing over (plus the obvious cleaning and arranging of clothes and other girly bits and bobs).

So I have 2 cards to share today, both for challenges. First up is to enter the Color Throwdown and Seize the Sketch challenges

I've used a gingham backing paper from Pink Petticoat, a swirly embossing folder for my navy circle, the cream CS is stamped using the With a Flourish stamp set from Clearly Besotted along with a stamped butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes Additions. Stephanie (CBS) has also just released some stand-alone 'every-day' dies and this is one of the scalloped ones. Finally the sentiment is from Uniko Studio and I've added some gems from my stash for a bit of sparkle.

Next up is another joint challenge card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches and Card Concept challenges, where the theme is 'Florals'. This time I've used design papers from Studio Calico and My Mind's Eye, my adorable Memory Box Tilda Floral die, which is fast becoming my favourite, same sentiment from Uniko Studio then some enamel dots, button and twine from my stash.

I'm also going to enter this card over at Pixie's Crafty Snippets challenge once the gates open. The lovely Di has an extra prize on offer which is running for 2 weeks providing you enter 3 cards in the 2 weeks so check it out here if you fancy playing along.

Whoops forgot to add what style for The Card Concept - I'd say Classy and Elegant (hope that's right)!

Hope you are all enjoying some crafty time and see you soon.

LOVIN' HALF TERM CRAFT TIME

THREE days in a row for me!!! Wow it's a while since I've managed that...just shows what a few days off work does.

I've had some commissions to do this week so that's kept me busy but I also have a card to share using the newly released Dandelion Dreams set from Clearly Besotted and it's heading right over there for the monthly challenge which is a stunning colour palate this time.

I love this set and wanted to try something CAS and colourful with them so I've masked off 2 areas and stamped the image then used a sentiment from the same set, a strip of patterned paper from Echo Park and a couple of enamel dots. I daren't add any more in case I go OTT!

I did make another card using a cherry cake with gingham but wasn't happy with it so that's gone in the 'not for public viewing' pile!

Next up is a commission card that my Mum asked me to make for one of her dog-loving neighbours. This cute little dog has been in my stash for far too long and I think he/she's just gorgeous. I've used the sketch from this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge so I'm heading over there along with Pixies Snippet Challenge - I keep missing that one.

The backing paper is from the Bazoo range from Helz Cuppleditch and I've used my Cricut for a change to cut the scalloped circle and balloons. I keep thinking about selling it as it's hardly used but just now and again it's a handy piece of kit! The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted 'It's Your Birthday' set and I've added some pearls and twine from my stash.

Hope you are all having some fun and crafty time. Enjoy your evenings.

STARS AND CARS

Happy Monday

It's a while since I've posted on a Monday but here goes - it's amazing what a day off can do!

I've a couple of cards to show you today that I finished off this morning but apologies for the photos. Despite using a daylight lamp, near the window and tent ...when it's dark and dreary outside it's dark and dreary photos too.

So first up is a combined entry to ColourQ and The Paper Players Challenges. The theme at The Paper Players this week is 'Stars' and whoopie (how convenient) I only just received the Superstar stamp set from the February Release at Clearly Besotted! The sentiment is from the same set and I've used a Sizzix 'stars' embossing folder too.

Next up is a second entry for the Less is More challenge. I'm always short on masculine cards and I've used the same stamp sets from Stampin Up and Clearly Besotted seen here but hubby preferred this one. Maybe it's the boy-racer in him kicking up the mud as he accelerates into the distance!

Ok that's all for now - I'm off to meet some friends later so time for lunch and maybe a little crafting / playing!

Catch you all soon.

THERE GOES ANOTHER WEEK!

Can't believe it's round to Sunday again and today is the first day I've had time for any crafting this week - arrrrgggh!

Thankfully it's half term this week so I'm hoping I might fit a little extra playtime in.

A really quick post tonight and I've just the one card to show you which I'm using to enter 3 challenges:

Less is More: Masculine card
CAS on Sundays: Masculine card
Dynamic Duos:

Card Recipe:

Image & Sentiment: Stampin Up - Rev up the Fun
Papers: Echo Park
Extra Sentiment: Clearly besotted (Going Places) & Sun stamp (Paired Up)
Enamel dots from my stock and Josy Rose Nailheads
Glossy accents also added to the car for extra shine!

Ok that's all for me today - off to catch up on some TV and hope you all enjoy your evening.

Thanks for stopping by.

HERE WITH ANOTHER TRIPLE POST

Hi Friends

Haven't had time for crafting today as I'm busy getting ready for guests this week but just had to post a couple of cards that I made yesterday but it was too late to post them all last night.

So first up is to enter the CAS Colour & Sketches challenge and initially this card started out as my one-layer card for Less is More but I couldn't resist putting it on a coloured card blank. Once again I'm trying out another of the new releases I bought from Clearly Besotted, this time Superstar and what a superb set it is and I think I'll be using this on loads of cards. The birthday boy sentiment is also Clearly Besotted from the In the Frame set, released in January and I've added some Josy Rose nailheads in blue and green.

I'm also heading over to Addicted to Stamps with this one as the theme is 'Anything Goes'.

Next up is my entry to Freshly Made Sketches. I'm afraid the stamp has been in my stash for years and I remember my sister bought it in America but I don't know the make. I love the striking image though and for this card I've heat embossed it in black and the same with the sentiment onto teal coloured vellum. The sentiment is from my new Dandelion Dream set from Clearly Besotted. Papers and card are from my stash and I've added a couple of black pearls and some enamel dots.

Last up is my entry to Color Throwdown and I so adore the colour combo this week and the gorgeous little decorated cakes so I've tried to recreate them with some cupcakes from my Crafty American Auntie. This card is also heading over to Pixies Crafty Snippet Playground as I have used a few odds and ends that needed a good old dig and delve to find the little tiddlers! Feeling a bit guilty as I intended to enter last week but then completely ran out of time.

The sentiment is Clearly Besotted (It's you birthday set) and I've embossed the pink panel using a swirly embossing folder from Cuttlebug. Papers, gems and twine from my stash.

And that's my lot and I've a strong feeling it's going to be the weekend again before I set foot in my craft cupboard but as usual I'll be checking out your blogs and hope to comment along the way.

Have a good week and catch you soon.
